GLITZ! is a local, family-owned store with one location, Mall of America, Bloomington, MN. We offer you a fun, friendly experience when shopping for your special occasion dress.

We have families that annually travel from all over the country, as well as internationally, to select from our large in-store inventory. Shop early for best selection.

Be sure to wear proper undergarments and shoes.

Go shopping with one person whose opinion you trust.  Group shopping can be confusing.

Bring in pictures of dresses you like from our website or magazines.

Let our consultants suggest some styes you may not have considered.

Move around in the dress. Sit in it. Dance in it.

Try on jewelry and shoes with your dress.  It completes the look.

Ask for suggestions on hairstyles.  Complement your personality and overall look.

A FEW GUIDELINES

When you enter GLITZ!, you will be invited to select 3 gowns for initial try-on.

When you enter a GLITZ! dressing room, it is reserved for you for up to an hour. A GLITZ! consultant will assist in bringing you additional gowns and zipping your dress.

Try-on shoes and accessories are available to complete your look.

When purchasing your dress, look it over carefully.  At GLITZ!, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges at any time for any reason.

DOES GLITZ! OFFER FREE SHIPPING?

We will ship your gown FREE at regular ground shipping rates anywhere in the continental U.S. It usually takes 5-7 business days if we have the dress in stock. Special order gowns can take up to 16 weeks to receive. If you would like upgraded shipping or shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, it is available at an additional charge.  Please all 952-854-5257 for rates.  We do not ship internationally.

 

DO YOU HAVE A PRICE MATCH PROGRAM?

If you find a lower price for any non-sale dress prior to placing an order or buying at GLITZ!, we will match that price, if the following conditions apply:

You should contact us before buying the dress to let us know where we can find the lower price on another site. It must be the advertised price on a US based website that is an authorized retailer of that product.  We will not honor the price if the dress is shown as sale, clearance, special or if the store offers discounts or coupons.  It must be the advertised MSRP price.  The store/site must have the item in stock in size and color that you are ordering available for immediate shipping.  Special orders do not apply.  Jovani and JVN products are excluded from any price match.

DO YOU TAKE SPECIAL ORDERS?

Depending on availability, we are pleased to take special orders.

WHAT IF MY BILLING AND SHIPPING ADDRESSES ARE DIFFERENT?

If your addresses are different, our fraud detection department may need further information from you before processing.  This can add time to your delivery.

WHAT SIZES DO YOU CARRY?

We carry teen sizes from 00 to a 24. We can special order additional sizes.

WHAT SIZE SHOULD I ORDER?

Special occasion apparel is sized differently from most department store dresses and it is not uncommon to need one or more sizes larger than you would normally wear. Please come into GLITZ! and try on gowns; or carefully review each designers size chart and order accordingly. If there is a decision on a borderline size, we recommend going up one size as it is easier to tailor down a size.

HOW DO I MEASURE MY SIZE?

You need to measure your bust, waist and hip and compare to the correct designer's size chart.  These measurements should be taken while wearing appropriate undergarments.  

We recommend you have your measurements taken professionally.  Otherwise, have a friend measure the biggest part of your bust, the smallest part of your waist (typically two inches above your navel) and the biggest part of your hip. Do not pull on the measuring tape  Compare your measurements to the size chart of the appropriate designer.

Remember, factory measurements are approximate.  As gowns are not custom made, you need to order to fit the largest part of your body. Sizes cannot be changed once an order is placed.

HOW DO I KNOW THE TRUE COLOR OF A GOWN?

The color of online images may vary due to display and monitor settings.  Colors also vary from designer to designer, even if the color name is the same.  We cannot be liable for a mistaken color selection as all sales are final.

DO YOU OFFER ALTERATIONS IN THE STORE?

We do not offer alterations or quote alteration costs.  We do have a recommended seamstress that can meet you in our store on weekdays. Please call if you would like her contact information.

IS THERE A DANGER TO BUYING GOWNS ON THE INTERNET?

We recommend purchasing on the internet only from GLITZ! We are sure you have heard the horror stores regarding buying on the internet from an unknown source.
